MARVELOUS MAGNOLIA - DOILIE DELIGHTS



 



Hello Friends
Before I share a card with you today, I must also comment on the cold blooded murder of a 20yr old serving soldier in Woolwich, London yesterday.
 It is beyond my comprehension how any human being could carry out such atrocious acts on another,
 regardless of their views on race or religion. This young man was just walking home, apparently wearing a "Help the Hero's" tee shirt. My deepest condolences go out to this brave young soldiers family. May God grant them some comfort in their time of loss.

The shape was cut with a GO CREATE die on spotty MY MINDS EYE paper. The Butterfly is MAGNOLIA. Flowers are WILD ORCHID and THE RIBBON GIRL along with the lace. The image is coloured with COPIC MARKERS  and the frame is SPELLBINDERS with a little doily. I used some FRANTAGE embossing on a metal corner to finish.

THE CHALLENGE

Our new BESTIES CHALLENGE BLOG follows on today for Team B ladies with the theme Monochromatic

Just use shades of one colour. Of course you can add a splash of another colour for hair etc, but predominately different shades of one colour.

I can't wait to see what you make with your besties.

There are free images for you to grab, so no excuse not to join in, and I would love it if you could.

 

I have chosen the very cute "TINA TATTERS" to share with you and of course the colour Pink.

 

The papers are Pandura Tilda, inked and stitched, layered with flat lace and decorated with flowers, all available from The Ribbon Girl. The border is made with a MS punch and the leaves are cut with a Marianne die. Around the stitched image is Frantage Shabby white heat embossing and Tina Tatters is coloured entirely with Copic marker pens.

 

If you are lucky enough to win this card the sentiment is not attached. This is so you can add your own if you want or leave the card blank.

PRINCESS AND THE PEA - SHERI BALDY BESTIE

GOOD MORNING

 

Its time for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts.

 

Laine has chosen the theme "Diva"

 

 I have coloured up this little Bestie Princess for you.

  The papers are My Minds Eye bordered with a die cut, Magnolia heart lace border. The seam binding bow holds a little crown charm from a pearl brad and the flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid and The Ribbon Girl. I added a few gems in matching colours and heat embossed some Shabby White Frantage powder on the edges of the image, which was coloured entirely with Copic Markers. Almost forgot to mention the ladder, which has Tiara Stickles on the rungs. A princess should have a golden ladder don't you think?

A VINTAGE CARD WITH BUTTERFLIES

HI FRIENDS

 

I am recovering, slowly but still feel very weak and not at all able to do anything. I didn't know kidney infections could be so nasty.

As I have been unable to use my pens, I put together a little vintage card using an image from the Internet.

I used the roses as inspiration and added a little birdcage charm, some pretty lace and a matching bow. Mike bought my sewing machine upstairs and I stitched, inked and distressed the edges of the Maja and Pion papers. The butterflies are Joy Craft (I believe} and Magnolia dies and the frame is Spellbinders Label.

 

 

 

I added a tiny bit of embossing and Stickles to the image and frame. I think this little girl is adorable.

 

I would like to enter this into 

 Fashionista Challenge - Vintage/shabby chic.

TILDA LONGSTOCKING - MARVELOUS MAGNOLIA

 

HELLO FRIENDS

 

 

This post is late, sorry everyone. I really am feeling so ill with this kidney infection. I now have new antibiotics and have been told to stay in bed for a few days. It's nasty.

 

It's ANYTHING GOES this week and we are sponsored by the very generous TILDAS TOWN,

 

For my card I used Maja Spring papers and little Tilda Longstocking, adding lots of pretty flowers.  There is a Frantaged metal corner plus stitching round the inked edges. I added some creamy cotton lace, a piece of velvet ribbon and some pearl stringing. The leaves are cut with a Marianne die.  This is my favourite leaf die because the size is perfect for cards and I love the little holes. I used glittery Glamour Dust all over her dress so she sparkles when the light catches her.
