Good Morning

Wow what a fantastic day we had yesterday, so warm and wall to wall sunshine. Is spring here?

My card today is by Sassy Cheryl and is called

Mothers Day Flower,

I saw it on Pop's blog the other day and fell in love with it, and as usual I had to have it!

Ain't she sweet?

She is coloured with Copics and glittered with

Glamour Dust.

The papers are from Nit Wits. but I'm not sure what collection, and I just used some seam binding and a little bit of lace with a Doohickey swirl and a couple of Wild Orchid flowers. It made itself really and was a joy to colour. I downloaded three other Sassy Cheryl digis and I am planning to use them after my new Lili Of The Valley stamps which arrived yesterday, Yippee!

I have had a two day migraine which put me in bed, and I hastily put this card together yesterday, with half opened eyes, so please forgive me as it isn't one of my best. Also I didn't follow the sketch. Naughty me! The pain has gone but I have that horrible numb feeling remaining over one eye, that all migraine sufferers will recognize. Not nice!

So here is my little card using a digi stamp from Meljens Designs

and Maja Design paper.

The sentiment is Lili Of The Valley. My new stamps may be here today, hooray! Yesterday, my Neenah Classic Crest Card arrived from Crafter's Companion. I thought it was excellent value at £28.50 for a Ream (that's 250 sheets to you and me). I only use this card now as nothing else works as well with my Copics.

MAGNOLIA TILDA CARD

Good morning , hope you had a lovely weekend.

Greatly saddened by the sad death of Whitney Huston, Mike and I sat and watched Whitney Houston's funeral service on Saturday evening. We were totally inspired by the words of honesty and love that filled that Church, both from the wonderful minister and the guests. It was a truly uplifting experience and Cissy made a wonderful decision when she decided to invite the world to share in her daughters service.
Rest in peace Whitney.

Today I have another Tilda card to share.

The papers are Pion Design,( my favourites), stitched to Chocolate Bazzill card. All the flowers are Wild Orchid, the dies are spellbinders, and Doohickeys. Border is X- Cut and seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl. I have coloured with Copics and blended Prisma pencils. The glittered lace at the bottom is from my craft stash.

A SPRING TILDA CARD

I can't believe we are half way through February. The time has whizzed by and soon it will be spring.

I can't wait for the blackbirds to start singing their joyous morning song and see the first daffodils peeping through the soil. Then it will be Spring! So it's time to start making Easter and mothers day cards. I bought a cute new paper pad the other day. It is Spring themed and I used it to make this Magnolia Tilda card.

The "So Sweet" sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, lace, flowers and ribbon are Wild Orchid Craft and the doily is from Poppy's Cabin. The card is stitched and Tilda is double mounted, coloured with my Copics and glittered with Crystal Glamour Dust.

LILI'S LITTLE FAIRIES - ANYTHING GOES

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.

I feel more relaxed this week and have managed to make lots of cards. I am not having to walk James to school everyday due to half term. but it's back to the grindstone next week. My daughter is still very, very poorly and we don't know what the next step is. She has a severe auto immune disease which is attacking all the joints in her poor hands and legs and inflaming her eyes and this is such a worrying time for us. My little family have had it so hard. Her daughter Molly, aged 14 has cerebral palsy and her husband Steve is recovering. thank God, from testicular cancer. I just have to trust in Gods plan, trust that he will take care of them and do what I can to help them as much as I can. Wish I could drive though ...too much walking time cuts down my crafting time. lol.

Today is Thursday and it's time for a Lili's Little Fairies challenge of which I am a DT member. The theme this week is Anything Goes and the sponsers are the wonderful (what would I do without them) Wild Orchid Craft.

Hello, and welcome to my little craft room on line, where I try to show my cards and other projects as best I can. Its been a week since my last post as I am still really busy helping my family out, but at least I managed to get a couple of cards made this week.

Apologies if I haven't managed to visit your blogs, but I do love to hear from you, so please don't forget me! I'm easily forgettable you know.

Well that's enough waffling, now for the main reason for being here, the CREATIVE INSPIRATION CHALLENGE.

Yes, what a wonderful prize, I wish I could enter myself!

Here is what my I have come up with, using the brand new CC Designs, SWISS PIXIE LUCY.

These little stamps are my guilty pleasure and I have LOADS of them, so I popped little Lucy onto a flowery fence and coloured her with my Copics. I used Bazzill Kraft card.The papers are from Pink Petticoat and stitched as usual, with the addition of cream guipure lace Then I added a sentiment and some Wild Orchid flowers, punched a few leaves and it was done. Simples!

Forgot to say, the wings and things are double glittered with both glamour dust and Stardust Stickles and boy do they sparkle! I am in love with these little Woodland Pixies and think they are beautiful.

I will be back tomorrow with my Lili of the Valley, DT card for " LILI'S LITTLE FAIRIES". Meanwhile, keep safe and don't forget to try for that wonderful prize!

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - VALENTINES SKETCH

Good morning folks, It's Thursday today and that means only one thing, the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge!

This week we have a fab valentines sketch for you designed by the lovely Jacque.

And here is what I have done...

I am afraid the light was awful when I took this photo

so it doesn't look at its best, but this picture
was the clearest of the batch.

Not having any heart dies, I cut a heart from Magnolia paper and edged it with the cut edges of a square doily, to make it look pretty. The little bird house, ivy and bird are made with a Marianne die set.

The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley and again cut freehand. I coloured my valentine couple with Copics. The roses are from Wild Orchid.
What you can't see is that underneath the image is
a circle of silver Mirri card that shines through the die cut and reflects the image.

Anyway, I really hope you can play this week.

Creative Inspirations Challenge

This week's challenge at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS is Lot's of Love.

My card today was made with a Stamp Fairy stamp.

I fell in love with this little guy. He was so easy to colour and so cute. All dressed up for a hot date!

He has been coloured with Copics and glittered with Glamour Dust and Stickles.

The papers are Love Letters from First Edition.

First Edition have a new paper pad, Spring Drop. It's really pretty and I think it's worth buying.

I bought mine yesterday from The Range (love that shop), and I can't stop drooling over the delicious papers. Will I ever allow myself to use them I wonder?

The border was Martha Stewart punched, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft as usual.

Have you noticed that it's staying lighter in the evenings now? Spring is round the corner me thinks and I am so looking forward to feeling the warm sun on my skin again. I don't do Winter!

MO MANNING - BUNCHES

Hi everyone. No I haven't left the country,( though I wish I could, somewhere hot would do), I have just been very busy with family concerns.

Loads of snow yesterday. Harry would not come in from the garden and his woolly coat became matted with snow. It clung so thick and solid that I had to shower it off of him.

His poor little willy was frozen. lol.

Today's card is made using Bunches from

Mo Manning.

The flowers are wild Orchid Craft and the Bazzill Kraft card is stitched.

I have coloured with Copics and glittered

with Glamour Dust.

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - Spring Colours

Hi lovely crafters. It's time for another challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies, and this week we would like

to see some spring colours on your creations.

This calls for an oh so sweet girly card, right up my street and better than last weeks boy's card.

"Girls rule, boys drool", as my granddaughter says.

So this is what I made.

These pretty papers are Butterfly Garden by Wild Rose Studio. The colours and designs are just right

for this time of year.

They are stitched to textured card.

I love this little fairy blowing dandelion wishes.

I coloured her with Copics and glittered her with glamour dust because everyone knows fairies have sparkly wings, right. she is sewn to a Spellbinders

Lge. Scalloped circle and a paper doily.

The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl, butterfly is Magnolia, border die cut is X-cut I think, and the flowers are all Wild Orchid Craft as usual. I just added a few little white pearls and decorated the inside with matching paper and writing space and the card was done.

This card will be for sale on eBay this weekend.

I would like to say a big thank you to my loyal followers for leaving me such lovely comments, even though I can't visit you as often as I would like at the moment.

CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE- Make a Tag

This week at Creative Inspirations the challenge is to" Make a Tag". Now I don't know how or why, but I have never made a tag before. Also, I didn't realise that a "Tag" could be as large as a card, (which most of the DT have done) so I didn't
use a stamp! What am I like?
Anyway, here is what I came up with.

This is a gift tag made with Pion paper and Kraft card.

The Valentine image is taken from a vintage card, and was found on line.

The lace is from the Ribbon Girl, Carnation from Wild Orchid and half of a paper doily from my craft box. The die cut ivy is mad with a new Marianne die and I have used Stardust Stickles on it, to make it look frosty. I added a little heart and a key and it was done.

This week HANDY HIPPO are giving these lovely prizes. A PB Stamp 'Joyride' from the newest valentine's collection and some wooden heart embellishments.

I haven't made any cards this week. Claire is still very unwell, and I have been on school duty for little James. The walking must be good for me. It's a good half hour there and back twice a day, so that's two hours walking. His dad is able to take him for the rest of the week so I can have a rest and hopefully get some cards done. It's a very worrying time for us all at the moment and "switching off" is hard to do.

I will be back tomorrow with my Little Fairies card.

I am a big fan of Mo Manning Digi's and this is one of her recent designs.

This little sweetheart has made a heart from paper, probably for her Daddy.

The papers are Maja Design, stitched to Bazzill Kraft, Sage and Red card.

The heart die cut was a little gift from Tracy at Dies to Die for and I popped out all the little hearts

and used them on the MS border and the image.

I have used a heart doily from Poppy's Cabin and a Tim Holtz ticket with a little blue button found in my stash. The leaves were made with a MS punch and you can just see that the inside uses matching paper.

I am afraid I didn't take note of the Copic's

this time as it was coloured over a few days.

MAGNOLIA TILDA CARD

Hi everyone

I made this Magnolia Tilda card yesterday.

I am quite pleased with how it turned out as it

was very quickly made between trips to the school.
My daughter Claire is unwell and unable to walk far at the moment. She has been diagnosed with auto immune disease and the prescribed drugs are making her very sick, so its Shank's Pony for me again, back and forwards to school with little James.
Thank goodness it's Friday.

Tilda is coloured with Copics.

Dress - B21, 12, 00, 000

Flowers - RV23, 21, 00, 000

The papers are Magnolia, stitched to pink Bazzill card.

The lace and seam binding are Ribbon Girl.
I forgot I had this pretty lace.
Found it at the bottom of my bit box.

Leaves- Martha Stewart Punch.

Corner- Marianne Die.

The blue pearls were from my little stash.

She is glittered along her hem and amongst the flowers with Glamour Dust.

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - Lavender and Lace

Hi Girlies

Its time for another Lili's Little Fairies Challenge.

This week the theme is Lavender and Lace.

There are two Lili of the Valley stamps for the winner!

I will admit to struggling with my card this week.

Lilac and purple look the same to me, it's very strange but true. A kind of colour blindness I suppose.

And then... I forgot to finish the little girls face.

But lets pretend I did and she has little rosy cheeks LOL

The stamp is called "Summer Garden Angel" and you can buy her here. The sentiment is included.

I chose Bazzill Kraft card and I think it's Papermania paper.

The only lavender'y paper I could find.

The card is stitched and the circle frame is made with a Marianne die, my favourite. It looks good with Kraft.

The flowers and lace are all from Wild Orchid Craft and I punched the leaves and butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.

I used the following Copics.

Creative Inspirations Challenge

Good Morning Everyone

I am honoured to announce that I have been invited to join the Creative Inspirations Challenge design team.
This is such an exciting thing for me to do as Creative Inspirations has always been a big favorite of mine.
I hope you will play along with me every week.
The theme this week is "Your Favorite Colour +White"
(except for hair etc)

This is what I came up with using Pink + White.

The delicious papers are by Magnolia and I have stitched them to pink Bazzill card stock.

Running across the card is a pretty border made with a Spellbinders Borderability die, but you cant see much of it 'cos I then covered it up with the flowers and ribbon!

The ribbon is from the ribbon girl and holds a Ballet shoe charm attached to a pearl brad.

The roses are Wild Orchid Craft and the leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Ballerina Tilda is an ageless favourite of mine.

She was released a few

years ago but doesnt seem to age and I love her.

The History of 'APRONS'

Do you remember your grandma wearing an apron like this?

A friend of mine sent me this, and I found it so touching I want to share it with you.

I don't think our kids know what an apron is.

The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the

dress underneath because she only had a few. It was also

because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and

aprons used less material. But along with that, it served as a

potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.

It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.

From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.

When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids..

And when the weather was cold Grandma wrapped it around her arms.

Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow,
bent over a hot stove.

Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.

From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables.
After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.

In the Autumn, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.

When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.

When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men folk knew it was time to come in to dinner.
It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.

Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.

They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron.

I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron - but love...

MAGNOLIA TILDA CARD

Hi Folks

Hope you are well.

The sun is shining brightly here, lifting spirits and promising Spring.

I have just had to bath little dog Harry, as he got hold of a bottle of Star Dust Stickles and put his teeth through the bottle. It had made it's way into the curls down his chest and dried hard . Why does glitter glue take so long to dry on cards, but just moments on a little dog? And does anyone know how to get it out of carpets as it is all down the stairs!

Here is a card I made a while back with a Tilda stamp.

The papers are my special Pion Design papers, that I allow myself to cut into sometimes for a treat. I have stitched them to Bazzill Kraft card. The swirl is a Magnolia die and the flowers are Wild Orchid Craft. I have used a Martha S punch to edge the border strip, attached a bow and a Tim Holtz Adage ticket.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and glittered with Stickles

She is stitched to double Bazzill card.

Here is the inside.

Right, I am going to try and comb the stickles out while he is still damp.

Hi All

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend.

Mike moved our heavy Victorian chest of drawers yesterday

so I could clean behind it, and found this card.

I had completely forgotten I had made it. It

must have fallen down the back ages ago.

Anyway, I thought I would pop it on here to show you..

I had dusted the cobwebs off LOL!

I think the papers are memory box. The borders are Tilda lace die. Ticket is Tim Holtz.

A New Magnolia Tilda Card

Well I actually inked up one of my new Tilda stamps yesterday and made a card between walking grandson James to school and picking him up again.

His mum is still quite poorly and has a hospital appointment this month.
It's horrible when your daoghters ill. No matter how old they are they will always be your little girl

This is by far my favourite stamp from this new collection.

I love the curly hair which makes her a bit special. Money is scarce now, as only one of us is working, so I try to buy just a few of the nicest ones.

I found good ol' Sir Stampalot to be the cheapest again.

I do hope you are all well and happy. I know a lot of people are coming down with bugs and the winter blues has hit us all. Roll on spring, that's what I say..

and I can't wait to hear the first blackbird's song in the morning, even if they do wake me up.

So, this is what I did with my stamp.

I used Bazzill Kraft card and dark pink textured card, with a delicious new Magnolia paper.

The edges are all stitched.

The die used are Spellbinders Labels 18 and Lge Ovals,

The ribbon is wired with a pearl brad and charm from my stash.

All the beautiful open roses are from Wild Orchid and the leaves are made with a MS punch.

There's lace and a doily on there too, but you can hardly see them as I seem to have buried them under pretty things!

Tilda is coloured with Copics and blended Prisma pencils.

Her lace is glittered with Crystal Glamour Dust.

Hello everyone, welcome to Chris's Card Craft.
Thanks for dropping in, I hope you will become regular visitors of mine.

Today sees the exciting launch of the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge.

It's a new year and a perfect time for new beginnings.

I am very proud to be part of this amazing design team, led by mummy fairy Jacqui.

I don't know about you, but I find each new collection of Lili of the Valley stamps just as wonderful as the last.
In fact they just keep getting better and better!

They will always be my number one favourite stamps and I just love them.

The theme for this weeks challenge is New Beginnings.
Perfect for this time of year.
It could be a new year, job, baby, home or marriage...anything connected

Here is my card, for a new baby girl.

The pretty pink papers are Magnolia, stitched to embossed white card.

The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley.

Dies used are all Spellbinders Nesties.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.

The seam binding used for the bow is from The Ribbon Girl.

The cutie baby girl was coloured with Copics.

Before I show you today's card, I want to remind you that a new Lili of the Valley challenge starts tomorrow.

Lili's Little Fairies

As I am one of the little fairies, so I wish you would play along with me.

I love these stamps so much and I am probably their greatest fan.

I could have burst with happiness when I was asked to be on the design team.

We have wonderful candy at the moment, pop over there and take a look.

Mo Manning is such a fantastic artist. I love her work.

Here is her latest digi stamp. I downloaded these sweet little characters yesterday and just had to make a card straight away.

I used Bazzill Kraft Card and Pink textured card.

The absolutely gorgeous paper in new from Magnolia - can you tell I love it?

I used a Do Hickey Swirl and a Spellbinders Square die.

The ribbon, silver corner and the flowers are all Wild Orchid Craft.

The pearl brad and double heart charm are from my stash.

I coloured with a mix of Copics and Promarkers.

I was going to add some Prisma Pencil but was in such a rush to finish the card I forgot!

Small areas are glittered with Glamour Dust and the flowers are touched with Stickles.

80th Birthday Card - Magnolia Tilda

Good Morning Folks

Its a cold, blustery and wet day here in Kent, so I am going to sit in my snug little craft room and use some of those stamps Santa bought me.

I keep loosing track of the days, so I am glad the long holiday is over.

Every day seemed like a Sunday to me!

Here is a card I was commissioned to make for an 80th birthday.

The papers are Nit Wit: Grin and Bear it.

I love the soft browns and pinks of these digi papers.

I used Bazzill Kraft card and cut the little postcards from Prima Botanical.

Tilda is sitting on a circle made with a Spellbinders Heart Circle die.

The roses and blossoms are from Wild Orchid.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and glittered with Glamour dust.

First card of 2012

The tree is down and all the decorations are packed away for another year.

It is hard to find the old mo-jo again, I'm beginning to wonder whether I have thrown it out with the Christmas cards lol.

This is a card made with an Elizabeth Bell stamp.

I love a cup of tea in the garden in the sunshine don't you?

Papers are from First Edition on Bazzill Kraft Card.

I have used Martha Stewart punches,

a Spellbinders heart circle and a Marriane circle die.

The silver filegree corners and all the beautiful mulberry flowers

are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The image is coloured with Copics and finished with Prisma pencils.

I am looking forward to seeing all the new 2012 papers and stamps.

When these are on my desk it will feel like Spring is on it's way.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa bought you loads'a crafty bits.

He bought me some new Tilda stamps and some Lili of the Valley vouchers.

I have been to busy to ink up the new stamps so here are a few of my favourite cards for this year.

This was my favourite Lili of the Valley card this year.

This year I fell in love with Pion papers and this Tilda stamp was a favourite for 2011.

I love the little pink, cream and aqua colours of this card.

And another Pion Design paper choice with a Sugar Nellie Adorable.

I will be back with more cards in 2012.

Happy Christmas Everyone

Have a Wonderful Christmas Everyone

This will be my last post before Christmas and I would like to say thank you for your friendship and all the sweet comments you leave on my blog.

You truly are the best'ist followers!

It's an extremely cold and frosty morning here in Kent.

Mike has just got in from night workand he was SO cold that as he got into

bed. I quickly got out the other side and turned the heating up a notch.

Well, all the cards have been made and posted. The presents have been wrapped and placed under the tree with love. Now all that remains to be done is a trip to good old Marks & Spencer to buy the turkey.

Harry has had a trip to the doggy hairdresser to be looking his best for Santa,

and I have had a busy week, walking my grand son James to and from school.

I have no cards to share today, in fact I have tidied and cleaned my craft room and it is all is spick and span 'till after the festivities.

And so:

Hi Folks

Sadly, today sees the end of the Lili of the Valley Challenge, after four years of fun. They say all good things must come to an end BUT I am pleased to say that Jacqui and Bev are starting a new LOTV independent challenge in January, so all we fans will be able to continue to play and showcase our cards.
Its really exciting and I am sure this challenge is going to be fabulous.

Now for my news, which I am bubbling over with the need to tell you all!

Hello folks.

There isn't a lot of people around in blog land just now as everyone is preparing for Christmas and rushed off their feet.

Here is my very last entry for the Lili of the Valley challenge.

I am quite sad because these are my absolute favourite stamps.

I just love them and have loved playing this challenge every week.

Jacqui and Bev are going to save the day and start a new challenge next week called Lilis Little Fairies so I am looking forward to playing in that.

This week in Lili of the Valley challenge they are asking for pink, white and silver.

This was a chance to ink up this sweet little dancer and use some

pretty Magnolia papers.

The papers are stitched.

The sentiment is LOTV and all the flowers and embellishments are from Wild Orchid Craft. I have also used silver mesh, silver mirri card and silver stickles.

Tilda With Koala Christmas Card

Ive been rushing around trying to get some Christmas shopping done as I expect you all have.

Hope to get it all done by next week and plan a trip to the shops at Bluewater on Monday. I do hope the Salvation Army haven't started playing there yet. I love to hear them play but get so emotional listening to them that it makes me cry.

I get some strange looks I can tell you.

So here is a card I have made for The Maggie Lovers Challenge.

This week they are looking for an Australian Christmas card.

Well as you know it's Summer over there so I have used my little Koala Tilda. I have mixed her with some pretty Magnolia paper and added some heavily glittered snow flakes. The flowers all come from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Lili of the Valley - Cakes

Good Morning

I was up bright and early today. Mike is working 12 hour days which means a 5am start. Once that alarm goes off I'm awake and I have to get up.
I hope you all had a good weekend.
I broke my Big Shot using a Tim Holtz die.......I know I shouldn't have done it, but it's too late now.

Maybe Santa will bring me a new one.

Everyone in my road has their Christmas dec's up except me and I can't have that, so I shall be up in the loft rooting around for mine today.

Here is a card I made over the weekend.

The stamp is a favourite Lili Of the Valley stamp. I think the little girl is trying to find the cake with the most cream on the top.... that would be me.

I have stitched the Papermania papers and used bits and pieces from my stash.

All the gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft with MS leaves.

The inside uses the same papers.

She is coloured with my lovely Copics which I could never be without, and

glittered with Glamour Dust.

I am entering this into the Lili Of The Valley Challenge.

This week it's Anything But a Christmas Card, which suits me down to the ground at the moment. lol

Last Christmas Card of 2011

Well that's all my cards made, and I feel good.

Today I made an ordinary birthday card and it was just so refreshing.

I am now looking forward to all the new Spring stamps and papers.

This is my last Magnolia Christmas Card.

I have had an awful time taking photo's of it though and ended up taking four different lots at different times and in different places in the house.

It seems the red of Tilda's hat and coat absorb the light like a sponge soaks up water! I played around with the brightness controls but just cant get it looking like it does in real life. Grrr....me don't like Winter.

The thing is, if you make it too bright you loose the sparkle of the glitter as you can see. Aren't I moaning today.

I used three different stamps, Winter Night, Christmas Trees and Tilda.

I think she looks Scottish with her little tam a' Shanta hat.

The lace is from Wild Orchid, paper Magnolia, Leaves MS punch, Poinsettias

made from Marianne dies.

Masses and masses of Glamour Dust on trees, fields and roofs.

I an going to enter this little Scots Tilda into the Just Magnolia Challenge.

Good Morning All

For those of you who think I have disappeared, I have been non stop making Christmas cards to finish my orders. I really want to make something different now, so I am glad I've only got a few more to make. I haven't had time to blog, and even make them in my sleep!

I can't miss my Lily of the Valley challenge however, so here is my entry for this week. It finishes tomorrow but better late than never.

The theme is anything goes, but guess what.....it's a Christmas card.

Papers are Memory Box Mistletoe, stitched with gold mirri card.

Flowers and berries all Wild Orchid as usual.

I haven't been around much this week as there has been a

lot going on and not much crafting has been done.

Here is the Koala card I was going to make on my last post

and I've added a little video about his adventures before meeting Tilda.

I made the card using papers from Love Letters by First Edition

and postcards cut from Prima Botanical.

Maggie Lovers Challenge - Exploding Box

Good Morning

Well, the roast dinner is in the oven, and the dogs have been walked, so this is an ideal opportunity to post my Maggie Lovers project.

For those of you who don't know, this is a brand new challenge blog.

It is a lovely friendly challenge and I really recommend you try it.

Two days ago I told you how I had won a Koala Tilda, well this is

where I won her.

She arrived yesterday....and will be inked today.

If you would like a chance to win one of these sweet stamps, Bron has a draw on the blog.

The latest challenge is Anything But A Card.

I made this exploding box to hold my grand daughters Christmas present.

It looks just like an ordinary box.

I used the newest Magnolia paper.

Now you can see that it isn't what it seems......

It opens up quite big as I made it from 12" paper.

I also used silver mirri to reflect as the paper is quite dark.

It was a bit of a pain to photograph.

I hope you can see the four other Tilda's around the sides.

I have used A Little Gift Tilda from this years Christmas collection.

She is coloured with my beloved Copics and cut out.

I used the Christmas Letter stamp from a previous collection, to sit her on.

This is what I love about Magnolia stamps, you can build a whole collection of accessories knowing that they will work with all future Tilda's.

This year they have used Christmas letter on their paper.

The snowflake is a tree ornament. I bought a box of them in the sales last year.

I used Glamour Dust on parts of her dress and the letter and used holly leaves. berries and mulberry roses to decorate a paper doily.

I must admit it took AGES to make, but worth it.

I was up with my little dog Harry at 2.30 this morning.

Blue Magnolia Card and a TOOT!

Good Morning

The days are going by so quickly and I can't believe it's nearly Christmas.
The oak trees around my house still have leaves in the middle of November and I still have flowers on my summer bedding plants. But the jolly season is creeping up on us.

I am so proud today and need to share with you that I have won the very first Maggie Lovers Challenge.

This was my winning card....

Enough of my over excitement and time to calm down and show my card.

I bought some blue Magnolia papers and didn't quite know what to do with them.

It was a bit of a challenge as I have never coloured with these blues before.

Because the image is so 1950's I made this card in vintage style.

The only die cutting is the snowflake, held with a pearl brad.

All the papers are Magnolia.

There is LOTS of Glamour dust on this card.

LILI OF THE VALLEY - GET WELL CARD

Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my blog.

There is a definite Autumn nip in the air today and I have the heating on for the first time.

I have also noticed that the light is changing.

I spent ages trying to photograph my card this morning.

Each set were either too light due to the flash going off, or too dark as I was pointing the camera away from the light.

I haven't taken a picture of the inside, just concentrated on getting the front looking right.

So after a lot of messing about I have managed to download some pics.

This is my Lili of the Valley Challenge Card which stars a little bunny with the snuffles.

The colours are a bit lighter than this in real life.

I put glitter on his spoon and bottle, 'cause it's magic medicine of course!

The charm comes from some old costume jewelery. I collect bits at fetes and boot sales and take them apart to use on my cards.

Paper is Papermania, stitched. The borders are punched with a MS punch.

The ribbon is Ribbon Girl, flowers are Wild Orchid Craft.

Leaves are MS punch and sentiment is Lili of the Valley.

The inside id decorated with matching papers.

TIDA WINTER ANGEL

GOOD MORNING ALL

I am back blogging! Thanks for your get well wishes everyone.

Thought I would post this before I do anything else today.

IE : crafting.

I made a few cards this weekend and this is the first.

I used three Tilda stamps, coloured, cut out and shaped,

glittered and arranged on a piece of embossed spot card.

Tilda and the other bits are shaped and fixed with Pinflair Gel.

This pic. shows the construction a little better.

The inside has another Tilda and tree, mini this time but cut and shaped as before. The picture below shows a close up of them.

The papers are Magnolia Red Poinsettias. The edgings are made with Tilda lace dies and guipure lace .

I made the snowflakes with a Marianne die and added a brad with a heart charm.

The card has stitching and is coloured with Copics and Prisma pencil.

There's an overload of pictures today, looks like I'm making up for lost time.

Lili of the Valley - Trimming the Tree

Hi Everyone.

I am still feeling quite poorly with this cold and struggling to craft.

My get up and go has got up and gone.

I have made this Lili of the Valley card for the challenge as I don't like to miss it.

There are new stamps coming out on Thursday but I can't buy any of

them at the moment....

Sob.......

This little couple are trimming a tree together.

The challenge is for a Bright and Sparkly card in honour of Bonfire Night.

I used gold, bright red and green with lots of sparkly glitter.

The papers are Memory Box Mistletoe and are stitched.

The hellebore, red roses and white rosebuds are Wild Orchid Craft.

The ribbon, gold spacer and gem are from my stash.

The frame was made with Mirri Card and a Spellbinder Die.

I used Copics to colour and lashings of Glamour dust for snow and fur.

I have finished the inside to match.

Tilda at the Christmas Door

Hello everyone, thanks for looking in today.

I woke up with a streaming cold that has got steadily worse as the day has gone on.

I guess I am in the fashion.

Here is a card made in traditional colours in a vintage style.

To make this I layered two stamps together by masking.

I kept it simple as there is a lot going on in the image.

I don't know what the paper is as it was found loose in the drawer.

It seemed to say"use me" so I did.

I matched it with red and wheat card, some red gems and check ribbon.

Then I added a brad and a holly charm,

The flowers, holly leaves and berries are Wild Orchid craft.

Tilda was coloured with Copics and loads of Glamour Dust

and Stickles were added for snow.

I am now going to make a hot drink and take my cold

up to bed for an early night.

LILI OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE - FEEDING THE BIRDS

Hello lovely crafters, I have been busy for the past few days making roman blinds for my front bay window, which is huge. I have stitched the linings and am recovering from all the measuring and stooping before I roll out and cut the material.
So today I have made my entry for the Lili of the Valley challenge.
I try not to miss this challenge because the design team are so lovely and I follow all their blogs.
There are some fab new stamps coming out this week...and of course they are wonderful.
I rely on selling my cards on eBay to allow myself the pennies for my crafting goodies, so I had better make a few more me thinks!

I am having real bad problems with the light at the moment, so please excuse the picture quality.

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to view my blog,

I am afraid you wont find any Halloween cards on my blog, as my family don't celebrate it, but I do buy little chocolate bars for the little ones who come knocking though.

I made this card with the new Magnolia papers and a piece of matching Mitten Weather paper from last Christmas.
The papers and image are all stitched and layered.

I printed the sentiment from the computer, cut two hearts from card and glittered them and used s Doo Hickey die to make the flourish.

The snow flake is made with a Marianne die and glittered.

The only embellishments are two tiny roses and some gems.

Can you see the speck of glitter on Tilda's nose?

I forgot to brush it off before I took the photo.

She has Glamour Dust on her hat, shoelaces and flame.

She is coloured with Copics.

I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this.

I was a very lucky girl and won this challenge last week.

TILDA WAITS FOR SANTA

Hello everyone, I hope you have enjoyed the weekend.

I have another Magnolia card to show you.

Today's card uses Tilda with teddy bear.

She is waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve.

The papers are Pion Designs Christmas collection.

As usual I have given them the sewing machine treatment.

There is a little silver mirri card to add brightness.

I have used scarlet satin ribbon and guipure lace

and attached a snowflake charm with a pearl brad.

In the corners are red gems and I have placed some pearls on the blind.

The sentiment is Magnolia with the addition of a hanging heart.

A paper doily frames Tilda and helps the image show better.

I have coloured her with Copics and used Glamour Dust on the icy windows.

This card was such fun to make.

I am going to enter it into the Tomic Challenge which this week is Bingo.
I have used the first line going downwards.

TILDA WITH WINTER FLOWERS

Hello everyone, thanks for popping in.

Yesterday, I took a break from crafting and did some house work for a change.

I feel completely guilt free now.

I also did some baking and followed Kirsty Allsops recipe for scones, downloaded from from the programme Kristie's Homemade Britain.

Now I usually bake nice scones.

I use Delias' recipe, which has never let me down.

Kirsties' recipe had buttermilk and milk powder added to the ingredients which is supposed to make a finer crumb and a lighter scone.

Well, sad to say after following the recipe exactly and weighing meticulously, the resulting scones were the heaviest, hardest things I have ever baked and had to go straight in the bin.

I couldn't throw them out for the birds because they would have broken their beaks and if they had eaten them they would have been unable to fly afterwards!

I don't know what went wrong but I wont be trying any more of her creations.

Today I have Tilda with Winter Flowers to show you.

I love this stamp, and it can be used all year through.

Look at her little cardigan and her sandals...so sweet.

I am sorry about the angle of the card. I turned it to get the right light for the camera and it looks as if the top slopes, but it is actually a 6"square.

I hate taking photo's at this time of year.

The papers are from First Edition, Day Dream and are stitched as usual.

I used silver mirri in the mounting and some satin ribbon which

I think is from The Ribbon Girl

The flowers are all Wild Orchid Craft and the leaves are made with a MS punch.

Tilda is coloured with my lovely Copics which I could never be without.

There is glitter on her hair bows, dress trim and the middles of the flowers

I have stamped round the edges of the inside with a little flower stamp

and coloured them to match the papers.

LILI OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE

Good morning all.

Here is my entry for the LOTV challenge.

I was thrilled to have made the top three again last week.

This week the theme is bingo.

I have chosen ribbon & lace, flowers and gems.

The stamp is a favourite of mine and as I had to make a girly

birthday card for a commission, she was the obvious choice.

The papers are all Magnolia and have been stitched.

The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, stamped with pearlescent ink

which the camera reflected back I'm afraid.

Dies used are Spellbinders labels, borderabilities lace border

and Magnolia Tilda's Lace.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Craft and the pink pearls

are from my craft box.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and glittered with Glamour Dust.

EDWINS CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

Hello Folks

Wow it's such a lovely day here in Kent. Mike is sunbathing in the garden with the dogs while I write this. Its so warm out there its like a summer day and sunshine makes me smile. What a bonus!

I have made a little Magnolia Edwin card.

This Edwin stamp is such a little character and I love its vintage feel.

I have used my Pion Christmas papers to make this and they are stitched.

The trees and Edwin have been cut and raised on the background with Pinflair Gel

to give a 3D effect.

There is so much glitter on this card, both Glamour Dust and Ice Stickles.

The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, coloured with Copics for vintage shading.

This picture shows the layers built from the cut images.

I coloured with my beloved Copics.

I have Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens, but nothing compares to Copics.

The mulberry paper flower and berries are from Wild Orchid Craft.

I used a Martha Stewart branch punch for the leaves.

Ribbon Tilda with Flowers and Pearls

Good Morning All

Did you manage to get any cards made over the weekend?

Here is one I made for Just Magnolia.

This week the theme is Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

It is so important to teach our girls as they reach their teens, to

examine themselves as they bath or shower.

I also think it equally important to tell our boys to examine their

testicles in the same way.

Both breast cancer and testicular cancer are easier to treat

if caught in the early stages.

My son in law has just been given a clean bill of health after

being diagnosed with testicular cancer four years ago.

Because he didn't examine himself the cancer was established

and he had to have an orchidectomy and

extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

So please, if you have sons or daughters get them to regularly check themselves.

This endeth Chris' first lesson. lol.

Here is my little pink creation made with Magnolia papers and stitched.

I have used a Spellbinders heart circle, a Marianne corner and a Go Create die.

There is some silver mirri card in the layering for a little bling.

The flowers are Wild Orchid Craft and I have added some threaded pearls

and two larger pearls for prettiness.

Tilda has been coloured with Copics.

Hi Everyone

Guess who's been playing with her new Tilda's?

I think this collection is the best ever, do you agree?

This card is made with two stamps and the new paper.

It's in vintage style.

Does anyone else have problems photographing red cards?

The colours are really crisp in real life.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the white sparkly leaves and

the flowers are all Wild Orchid Craft.

The snow around the door is actually white flower soft.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and heavily glittered with Glamour Dust on her muff and hat.

As usual I have stitched the papers and the inside matches.

I am off to make Sunday dinner now.

Pop round if you fancy some roast beef, Yorkshire pud' and horseradish.

A Stampavie card and Harry's Bath

Hi Everyone
Harry did a spot of gardening while I was card making upstairs.

When I came down the dining room carpet was covered in mud and plants.

His white coat was absolutely filthy and he had mud half way up his legs.

I thought you might like to see how comical he looks when he is wet

so I took a few pictures.

Harry is a rescue dog and we don't know his breed but maybe

he's a Meercat in disguise.

Drying off with inside out ears.

Almost there.....

A little sun bathing just to make sure...

and off in search of more mud.

My card today is a Christmas Stampavie.

I have used Authentique papers. lace and red satin ribbon.

I wanted to keep it simple as there is a lot going on in the picture.

Santa's beard is made with Marvy liquid applique

which puffs out with a heat gun.

I loved colouring this image with my Copics it's so sweet.

Saturated Canary - Little Hippie

Hi Everyone

Here is a card using a Saturated Canary digi stamp.
Don't laugh but I rushed to get this done, photographed and on my blog,
then realised the challenge had another week to run.
Sometimes I think the older I get, the dafter I get.

I love these designs sooo much and as soon as I have some spare cash

I aim to get more.

For this card I have used the Love Letters paper from First addition

and as usual they are all layered and stitched.
It Sue is looking, then this is the paper from the Milly Card.

The additions are lace and flowers from Wild Orchid Craft

a Doo hickey swirl and a little sprinkle of Glamour dust.

There are three small gems in the corner.

My little hippie is coloured with Copics

A Magnolia Tilda Christmas Card

"This little light of mine, I'm a gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine."

I was singing this when I made the card and now I can't get it out of my head. Are you the same as me?

I start singing carols as soon as I make my first Christmas card, usually in August, and then continue right through to Christmas

It drives my husband mad.

So this is Tilda with her lamp.

She is sitting on a die cut with a paper doily behind her.

I used Pin Flair gel to give her shape and coloured her with Copics.

I've used so much red lately that I have to order more.

The paper is Magnolia and is stitched.

The ribbon has a pearl brad and the flowers are Wild Orchid Craft.

I punched the white leaves with a Martha Stewart punch.

The inside uses the same paper and card.

Two Lilli of the Valley Milly Cards

Good Morning All.

Today I have posted two little Milly cards.

I love colouring their little faces.

Neither of these are stitched as I think they should

not be too fussy.

They have insets with a birthday verse.

I used three tiny diamante for her buttons and the centre of the flower,

The flowers are WOC, ribbon and brad from my stash

I used silver mirri for her mat and a paper doily.

My Favourite Milly

All I needed to do to this one was add a die cut and a butterfly.

The papers did all the work for me,

A Tilda In her Garden Card

Good Saturday morning.

First I would like to welcome my new followers, I am so happy you have joined me. Thank you for your lovely comments, they mean the world to me.

So, who's a lucky girl then!

Yesterday, Mike surprised me with tickets to see Johnny Mathis at the NEC Arena.

It was a long journey from Kent but worth every moment of it.

I am a lifelong fan and this was the first time I had seen him perform live.

He was truly amazing and I shed a few tears when he sang "A certain smile" which has always been my favourite song.

I love him to bits and at 76 he still sings as well as he did in his twenties.

AND.....

My new Magnolia Tilda's arrived from Sir Stampalot today, Yippee!

The papers are beautiful, and guess what I will be doing today......

Yep, making Tilda Chrissy cards.

Here is a summery card I made this week.

The pink is less bright in real life.

The paper is Magnolia and it is double mounted, distressed and stitched.

Tilda and the background are coloured with Copics and placed on a Marianne

die cut and a lacey doily.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Craft and Tilda is glittered with Glamour Dust and tiny diamonte gems.

The little pink flower in the corner is a button.

I added a pearl for the middle.

The twiddly bits among the flowers are made with the waste from the stems.
